My Bookshelf

I have many recipe books, here are some of my favorites from my bookshelf. Although some are not specific to baking, they have baking recipes I frequent. I love reading recipe books, browsing for ideas and inspiration...

I have acquired quite an assortment over the years. I have an ever expanding wish list, so my collection will be updated frequently! There is a wealth of information in recipes books. Often in the preface you will find valuable information from the author, such as what size eggs to use or the kind of salt or coffee... some books have stockists where you can buy specific ingredients.

I treasure my recipe books, however I always have a led pencil at hand to record any modifications I have made and often a conversion in metric weights (I weigh all ingredients with digital scales). It would be irreverent in pen, pencil does not seem so permanent…

All of these recipe books I have purchased myself or been given as gifts by family and friends over the years.
